Weekend update.

I don't know if it was bad food, bad wine (see twitter post re: 2-buck chuck) or a stomach flu, but I've been in the potty three times this evening with the worst stomach cramps. Man alive were they painful. I think worst is past, but I'm going to bed. I better feel better tomorrow. I took something for the cramps, but with a two hour meeting I'll be a nuisance if it doesn't work.

Went to the zoo this morning and walked around in the rain. Saw the baby farm animals. They were really cute. The mamma sheep made the most manly baaing noise I've ever heard a female creature make. She was not happy that the volunteers were holding her babies and that all these strangers were touching them. She followed that guy around just giving him hell. Funny.

Going to the zoo sort of feels like going to visit friends. We go often enough since we bought our membership a year ago that you start to notice trends in behavior in some of the animals. A bit weird, but comforting none the less.

Yesterday we got the pieces to the tv stand cut, routed and sanded. This week we need to put them together and buy and cut out the back piece. Should take too long. One night drilling holes for the shelving, one night putting together and one night cutting out and attaching the backing. then of course there is the trim, staining and tile-work to be done. Maybe someday this week it will stop raining long enough to allow he backing part. otherwise we'll have a piece of furniture on its face in the middle of the room until we can tip it up. I want the back on it to keep it square before we pick it up. But we'll see how the weather cooperates, it isn't supposed to.

Ok off to bed and a good night's sleep before so my body can recover from whatever is in there trying to evacuate in a hurry.
